Welcome to the Intelligent Tunneling and Engineering Monitoring (ITEM) Research Group. Our research primarily focuses on theories and technologies related to intelligent disaster prevention and mitigation in tunnel engineering, such as intelligent control technologies for tunnel construction, dynamic disaster mechanisms during tunnel operation, and intelligent health assessment technologies for tunnels. Currently, we are conducting the following research:

(1) National Key Research and Development Program of China "Intelligent Construction and Multi-Machine Cooperative Technology for Construction Perception and Equipment Operation Parameter Feedback Control" (No. 2023YFB2603904) — Sub-Project: Intelligent Equipment Obstacle Recognition and Avoidance Technology.

(2) Multi-scale coupling mechanism and intelligent early warning of undersea shield tunneling disasters under complex geological conditions (funded by NSFC, No. 52178385).

(3) The macro-micro mechanism of solid-fluid coupling effect during synchronized grouting of shield tunneling in sandy-cobble strata (funded by NSFC, No. 51808150).

(4) Multiscale modeling for the soil responses during failure process in tunneling (funded by Guangdong-NSF, No. 2018A030313132).

(5) Smart WSN monitoring on the ground responses induced by urban excavation (funded by Guangzhou Science and Technology Programme, No. 202201020171 and No. 202102020617).
